The Holidays are approaching rapidly. Our non- profit Animal Sanctuary is enjoying the still beautiful weather. The ground is covered with soft leaves. The warm sun reflects,on the dogs shiny coats, while they are stretched out like beached whales, exhausted from romping and playing, dreaming of snacks and dinner time.
From time to time their peaceful sleep is interupted by gunshots, a sign that hunting season has arrived once more. I would be nice to build an Ark and float away, taking the animals to a safe place, where we could all live in peace. But once more with the celebration of Christs Birth so near, there is yet to peace on earth for all. Our hearts and prayers go out for all of those in need, people and animals alike. We also will not participate in any Christmas parade. We cannot spend the money, nor find the time to build a float. Our time is spent on caring, giving and rescuing animals.
