IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!
It is against the law to fight dogs, but it is a common practice around here.
It is against the law to fight roosters, but it is a widespread sport in our part of the country.
It is also against the law to abandon animals but it is done every minute of the day or night.
IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW TO BREED
Such as in puppy mills, garages, barns or closed doors, without paying taxes, yet continuing to be a burden to government and kind hearted individuals! A few weeks ago it happened again. During the night, three Chihuahuas were thrown over the fence surrounding the neighbors house. One of them broke its little leg in three places, so it had to be amputated. Another one got back out and was run over by a car. The third one was killed by coyotes, which come into people's yards during day or night, to snatch up small dogs or cats. They are unafraid and are able to get over or under any fence.
We heard the little guy scream but had no way to stop the incident. The small, three legged dog which we were able to catch because he could not run away due to his broken leg is one of the lucky ones that going to Arizona and will live a happy life with many others rescues like him.
And this is how our Sanctuary continues to survive, by the power of Faith and Commitment. Maybe one of these days life will be happy for all that are now overwhelmed with the effects of pet overpopulation. Miracles do happen, as it did over 2000 years ago and which was wny we celeorate this season, CHRISTMAS, the birth of Christ. We want to thank everyone who helped during the past year! We are grateful for donations, as well as encouragement. we wish everyone all the Blessings that this season holds and thank God for His Forgiveness, Mercy and Compassion!
